Easy Kids’ Craft: DIY Snowman Cups

Easy Kids Craft: DIY Snowman Cups

My kids brought home something similar to these from preschool last year and I found the girly google eyes at Michael’s the other day and decided to create our own version.

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:

  • White plastic tumbler cups
  • hole punch
  • pipe cleaner
  • black and orange foam sheet
  • google eyes
  • glitter pom pons
  • permanent markers (I used Sharpies)
  • glue gun (low temp preferred)

Start by punching a hole in each side of a cup. Then put the ends of one pipe cleaner through each hole and twist to secure. Hot glue a pom pon to each side to create the earmuffs. If you use a high-temp glue gun, apply the glue only to the pom pon and allow to cool a moment before applying to the cup so you don’t melt the cup. Then apply the eyes and cut out a carrot nose. I hold the nose on for a moment so it sticks out.

Then cut some tiny squares for a coal mouth or doodle on some smiles/expressions/eyebrows/etc. with permanent markers. Fill with treats!

These are great for a kid’s school holiday party!

My kids are pretty little still so they needed a lot of help since they can’t use the glue gun but they loved making these and my girls especially loved the girly google eyes!
