I stumbled upon this cute little holder at Target the other day. Someone had decided they didn’t want it and put it in with the dish soaps…and I just couldn’t resist. It’s from their Threshold line and it was $13. Add a little permanent vinyl (like Oracal 651) and gift it with some nice dish soap (my personal favorite is the Mrs. Meyers Basil, also found at Target).
Plus, I’m going to try to post more handmade gift ideas through out the year so there’s plenty for Christmas time (and it makes a great hostess gift anytime!).
For the vinyl, you’ll need two colors and some transfer tape (optional but it really helps you move the vinyl from the sheet to the object and get it on there straight). I just cut out a cute frame in black and then did the lettering in white. You can see below how I used the transfer tape to move the white letters onto the black vinyl frame. Then I simply put the label on the bottle and filled it up.
The dish gloves would be a great thing to add to this DIY gift. They are from a Guest Post I did over at The Happier Homemaker. <—Follow link to get the tutorial!
