I kicked off this week telling you all about Why I Run. I know this is usually a craft and DIY blog and you can expect it to go back to that after today, but I do hope you’ve found a different kind of inspiration here this week. My word for the New Year is BALANCE. As women, we juggle so many things and this year I’m striving to find a happy balance between them all. Next week it’s back to the usual stuff on the blog but you can follow my Running Moms Rock Pinterest Board for more running related things!

My goals this year are to stay focused on my workout plan. Set a schedule of when I’m going to the gym, and really try to stick with it.
I loved your post about ways to stay motivated. As a visual person, the jar system looks manageable. Also love the idea of non food rewards for myself.
I am trying to eat and play healthy. I lost over 100 pounds two years ago and it is starting to creep back up. I need to get back into an exercise routine. Your posts have helped me get started and to find focus. Thanks.
I like the beginner running tips. My main health goal this year is to pay attention to what my body is saying. If I need to sleep more less. Am a really hungry or is it thirst. That type of thing.

I liked your healthy dinners post. I’m having trouble with my ankle and I’m not supposed to be walking (let alone running!) too much, so my goal this year will be to eat healthier.
I want to try and run more! LOL
My goals are to do about 5-6 5Ks this year and I also want to loose 60 lbs!
My health goals include eating better and moving more. I’m hoping a side benefit will be shedding a few pounds, but I don’t ‘diet’ well.
My favorite post was Monday’s Healthy Meal Planning. I’m using some this week already!

My goal this year is to get my heart healthy… a rare pregnancy related condition placed me in heart failure!
In the New Year I plan to be a new me! I have already quit drinking soft drinks and caffeine (except for the occasional coffee) and I have cut my portion sizes. I am going to commit to walking (at first lol) at least five days a week. I also want to make healthier meals for my family. It’s been really hard being on such a tight budget. Because of this, my favorite tip was “Meal Plan Monday as usual but with a focus on healthy dinners.” Thanks for the chance to get this magazine and for your tips. I need to lose the baby weight I gained. And I liked Saturday’s!
My health goal is to use the elliptical at the gym 3 times a week (cannot run due to broken ankle from slipping on child’s toy) I liked the beginning runners tips the best.
I would like to do my first 5k in July with my sister…but we are way off track. So we scheduled in our appointment books to get back on track Monday to exercise. I like the ways to stay motivated, especially making it visual. Never though of that but I’m thinking I should do that!
I am really focused on quitting smoking and losing at least 15 pounds this year. I’ve got my patches ordered and I’ve started cooking healthier meals and eating smaller portions, so hopefully I can reach my goals.
My goals this year are to eat healthy, and walk everyday. Like Taryn, I have a heart condition brought on by pregnancy that has left my heart functioning at only 15%. I would LOVE to run again someday–but walking would be my beginning. My favorite was tips for beginners!!
