A week or so ago, I showed you a simple project I did to turn a mirror into a chalkboard (as well as a peek into my new craft room). I ultimately decided to hang it outside with a “Welcome” message.
I wanted the outdoor space to have a cozy “indoor” room feel to it so I hung the chalkboard and a few pink tissue paper flowers. I found the wicker outdoor furniture on Craigslist for a STEAL of a price compared to what we were finding in the stores, even with the end of season sales! Some bright yellow mums from a friend add a nice pop of color as well. The dogs certainly seem to be enjoying themselves out there where there are no crazy kids to pester them (and I’m certainly enjoying less dog hair floating around the house). Win-win. 
I’ve also been showing you pics of the historic home we are renting. I recently posted pics of my favorite room of the house, The Kitchen. Here is a little peek of the yard area which has a great kids space, detached brick garage in the same style as the home, an outdoor fountain, and a lot of great landscaping, and giant trees.
