This is one of those recipes that everyone asks for a copy of when you take it to a cook out. It’s a great side for anything on the grill and a nice alternative to the usual salad.
For the salad:
1 head cabbage, chopped
8 green onions, chopped
8 tbsp. thin sliced almonds, toasted
8 tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted (sometimes I sub sunflower seeds too)
2 (3 oz) pkg. ramen noodles, uncooked (toss the seasoning packet)
Combine cabbage and onions in a large bowl. Brown almonds and sesame seeds and set aside. Put Ramen noodles in a large plastic bag and crush coarsely. At last minute, add sesame seeds, almond and Ramen noodles to salad.
For the dressing:
4 tbsp sugar (I use Stevia)
1 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. salt
1 cup salad oil (I often use Sesame Oil, Olive Oil is a bit to heavy for this slaw)
6 tbsp. rice vinegar
Combine all salad dressing ingredients and mix well. Pour over salad when ready to serve.

Sounds great! I usually mix in the ramen seasoning packet with the rest of the dressing ingredients
