Boutique Ribbon Hair Ties

I saw hair ties similar to these in a boutique recently that were being sold in a pack of 6 hair ties…for over $30!  They are adorable for sure, but why pay so much when you can make them for a few bucks?!  And I recently scored a few cute packs of Ribbon from Pick Your Plum that couldn’t have been more perfect for this project!

What You’ll Need:
Ribbon in various materials/widths/colors
Hair Ties (I found these medium sized ones by Scuni that are perfect for toddlers and little girls at Walgreens)
Fray Check
Scissors

Cut 3 1/2″ strips of each ribbon, cutting each end at an angle as below.  How many you’ll need will vary by the size of your ribbon widths and hair ties but I used 4 strips each of 6 different ribbons for both sets.

Pour a little fray check in a bowl or paint palette.  Dip each ribbon end in the fray check.
Allow to dry about 15 minutes or so.

Then simply tie the strips of ribbon on the hair tie until it’s covered.
How sweet and simple is that? :)
