I’m a big hat person and when I saw this pattern for the Jack ‘N Jill Hat by Izzy & Ivy I had to buy it. I love that you can make a version for a girl or a boy. I’m planning to make a muslin version for my son for this summer. The boys version is the same but without the ruffle or flower. Another cool feature is that you put a button hole on the band and back the flower with a clip so the flower is removable. There’s a few inches of elastic in the back of the band for an adjustable fit. I made these back when I first started sewing so they’re certainly beginner friendly. And as with most patterns, the first one is the hardest…the more you make, the easier they get!
The only thing I changed it that I didn’t use the flower pattern it came with (it’s really cute though). I opted to use the same fabric flowers I used in my Spring Flowers Wreath tute.
