Etched Mirror

I kept seeing gorgeous mirrors in nursery’s only to look them up to find they costs hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars!  I did everything in Quinn’s nursery on a strict budget.  This DIY project cost about $35 total.  I used a cheap Better Homes and Gardens mirror from WalMart, some pink spray paint, etched the mirror and then hot glued on some rosette ribbon trim I found at Hobby Lobby.  Simple. As. That.

What You’ll Need:
Contact Paper (for stencil)
Etching Creme (See my tute on Etching Glass for more details)
Mirror
Spray Paint (if you want to paint the mirror frame)
Ribbon Trim
I designed my stencil with my Silhouette Cameo and cut it out on contact paper.  You can download the “Digs My Heart” font here.  It’s one of my faves!

To learn how to etch the mirror check out my Basics Tute on How-To Etch Glass.  Again, I let the etching creme sit for double the recommended time.

Then I cut the ribbon trim into four strip to line the mirror edges and simply hot glued it on and hung it up in the nursery!
