Pottery Barn Inspired Christmas Branch

When I saw this in my Pottery Barn magazine last week, I instantly knew I wanted to make my own knock-off version.  Especially when I saw that the Pottery Barn version was on cardstock.  The above pic is my knock-off and below is the Pottery Barn version.  I know they just used the branch for a cute display because they only sell the ornaments but I thought it’d be an adorable Christmas decoration for our family room to put the ornaments on the twig.  And the best part?  The craft costs around $10 if you already have basic craft supplies on hand!

What you’ll need:
Cardstock
Snowflake Patterns (you can download the ones I created free here)
Red Ribbon
Fine tipped paint
Glitter
Hole Punch
Small Scissors for cutting (I used quilting detail scissors)
Branch (I purchased a grapevine branch at a craft store for around $4)

How to Make It:
First gather your supplies and print the images on white cardstock.  Cut the snowflakes carefully.  Warning: it is a bit time consuming so grab seat in front of TV and watch a show you love to help pass the time. :)

After they are all cut out, do a hole punch in the top.

Then carefully rim the edges with paint and sprinkle on the glitter.  When dry, shake off excess glitter.

Then cut ribbon to desired length for each one and tie onto the branch.  Hang and enjoy!

**The snowflake stencil I used is from here.  I edited in a Word doc to add the red font lettering.**
