I love fabric flowers and there are a ton of tutorials on the web to make all different kinds of cute variations. To make this type, which I think looks most like a Peony, you basically just cut out a bunch of the same size circles and fold/bunch them up about 3 times and sew them in a circular pattern on to a circular piece of felt base until it’s nice and full. I used 20-30 or so 1 1/8″ circles. You can machine sew the outer layers but to do the middles of the flowers without centers, you’ll have to hand sew a few petals in. You could hand-sew the whole flower pretty easily as well. For variation, I add centers to come of the flowers using fabric covered buttons or fun buttons from button bin. They’re a little time consuming to cut and sew but the more you make the faster you’ll get!

My custom tags are from Jennifer’s Jewels on Etsy.
The backing of these flowers are grosgrain ribbon lined alligator clips with a “GripZies” No-Slip Hair Grip Piece. I order all my hair clip and broach pin making supplies from Hair Hardware.
